It's inevitable that someone who spends time slinking through vegetation looking for birds and whatever in northern parts of Australia is going to inadvertently arouse the ire of these ants from time to time.

They don't have the most painful of ant bites but a few of them in attack mode can get you moving very briskly and even undressing on the spot.
